Disassemble
The ball valve is opened and closed once to achieve the purpose of decompression. Remove the operating handle (no. 16). Unscrew all fittings by turning counterclockwise (no. 15). Remove the ball seal (no.7). Use a suitable tool to unscrew the valve cap (no. 4) by turning it counterclockwise. Remove the trunnion (no. 14) and bearing ring (no.3). Use a suitable tool (such as a small screwdriver) to remove all O-rings and back-up rings from the trunnions or joints and valve covers.
Prepare
Before replacing the valve body seal, ensure that all parts are clean and free from contamination. Lubricate the ball seal (no.7) and the O-ring and all valve interiors that are in contact with the seal with a little Vaseline.
Preinstalled
Install the O-ring (no. 5) and back-up ring (no. 12) in the groove of the trunnion, with the back-up ring facing out without pressure.
Using a suitable tool, carefully place the O-ring (no. 9) over the valve adapter (no. 12).
Assemble
First install the two bearing rings (no. 3) in the valve body (no. 1) and the bonnet (no. 4) with the bevel pointing towards the center of the ball valve to act as an O-ring at the trunnion (and support ring) groove.
Note: The support ring must completely cover the groove, in order to avoid being scratched when installed in the valve body and bonnet.
Install it in the bonnet by squeezing and turning the shaft end (with the grooves on all sides of the stem facing outward).
DN4-DN16: Put the O-ring at the bonnet (no. 6) into the valve body. Move the trunnions (with the bonnet) over the body end until the bonnet threads fully engage the body threads, then tighten the bonnet to the torque specified in the table below. Gently screw the pre-assembled fitting into the valve body, making sure that the O-rings are not damaged. Please tighten the joint according to the specified torque.
According to the open or closed state of the valve required by the customer, place the positioning pin (no. 10) on the square shaft, and then lock it with the locking ring (no. 11). Install the operating handle (no. 16) or actuator. (If you want to install the actuator, please install it after the test).
Testing
The test is to ensure that the valve can be opened and closed easily. Tightness test: eg with 6 kg of air and a compatible liquid (eg water) at a maximum operating pressure of 1.1 X PN. After the test, half-open the ball valve and pour out the liquid. If possible, please continue to dry the valve and apply anti-corrosion protective agent before putting it into use. Please place the ball valve in the operating position of "full open" or "full close".
